MARLAY LOTION FOR SOFT FEET, DOES IT WORK ?

we  all dream of having a soft , well moisturized feet  but sometimes or the other, it is more of a dream and actually not in reality. How many of you go for pedicures, frequently ? I haven’t done so in ages ! Today, I’m going to share my personal experience of using a wonderful product for all your feet problems ,  nails and hand problem , from the french brand MARLAY COSMETICS.

What does Marlay Cosmetics say about it ? Revolutionary in the treatment of cuticles and callosities, the MARLAY lotion won an award at the prestigious Lepine innovation contest in 1990.

Based on CELANDINE, a medicinal herb used by French great – grandmothers for its curative virtues, the formula gently dissolves all dead skin for a perfect manicure and baby soft feet all year around.

It is also very effective on corns , calluses and other build-ups of hard skin when reapplied over several days.

What I understood from this ? In short, I wanted to test the lotion Marlay Celandine. The purpose of this lotion? Dissolve the dead skins so that you can remove them and make you feet of an incomparable softness.

Yes, we are not in absolute Glamor, but let’s say we have to go through there to have nice feet!

To accompany the lotion, the brand also offers cotton pads and a big nail file  which will be very useful to let the lotion put on my feet. 

Texture of the product is like water, too thin and a runny texture, So, be extra careful while trying to pour them.

How to use them ? 

• Option 1 :  soak the cotton and leave it, like a cloth mask, for 15 to 20 minutes on the areas to be treated.
• Option 2 : Dilute  2 to 3 drops of lotion  in a bowl of water and make a foot bath for 15 to 20 minutes. I chose the second option, which seemed to me the most practical.

  Small note: you can do it on the feet but also on the hands.

The first option wouldn’t be so  practical , as it’s a bit hard to spend 20 minutes without moving, without dropping the cottons. 

My Experience of using them : 

I first soaked my feet in the water with these drops for about good 20 minutes. I previously had a Wart on my foot, and I had Cryo for that to get removed – such a painful one , you know ! Since then, am extra cautious for my foot, but still i have those dark dead skin present . 

Old fashioned Nail file 

I thought , You wanted it, you got it! So once the laying time has passed, you have to take a trick to scrape. Kind an old-fashioned nail file. And you scrap, scrap and scrap ! Dead skins go off very easily.

In the end, I found the lotion very effective. Well, these are slightly too EFFECTIVE, because when you see all your skins falling, it’s totally scary. There, it is the “soft alopecia” version. It works, but you still have control.

For hands, I have mostly used them as a cuticle oil . But I honestly I prefer them for the foot care than nails, as it is very effective. 

Priced at 35 Euros, a little pricey, but great effect !

Hey my loves, today’s topic is all about the magic highlighter from Arcancil.  We all love the beautiful  glow of any highlighter we use, be it the luxury one or the drugstore one, but I love my face to be snatched, and yeah! that’s my signature word for my love of highlighter !

This is what the product looks like. Do you think that the liquid highlighter in the bottle and the packaging matches ? Of course yes ! They are a pretty golden highlighter, giving you more of a sun kissed look.

What does Arcancil say ? Light up your face and body in one second with Magic Highlight ! Applied in light touches, its formula enriched with pearls brings light and radiance to highlight your best features. suitable for all skin tones.

Texture – It looks very light and silky . It can also be mixed with the foundation  or wear it on the foundation as well. It enhances your complexion well giving a subtle glow.

And it can also be used on body as well. I personally prefer to wear a slight tint on the shoulders, to give a healthy glow for my skin.

I have a medium Tan complexion, for it this highlighter is so beautiful. The above picture is just a dab from the pump tube.

This is how the highlighter looks on my skin. Since its a hand swatch, to show the real color & sparkle, i did apply a little extra . But still it looks so beautiful !

They look so gorgeous on flash ! They stayed well on my skin when applied over the foundation, and didn’t oxidize much , which is really good.

The highlighter stayed well for about 6 hours, fading slowly! I loved the glow a lot and i cant wait to use it in my upcoming makeup looks. They are so chic and slim in packaging, they make a great one for travel as well.

Say no to dry and damaged hair with Palmer’s !

Hello beautiful people! we all love that beautiful, shiny and a good hair. Having a good hair day is said to be having a good day! Do you agree or not ? As the weather is getting heated up day by day, so as our hair getting very dry, damaged, loses its shine, breakage, split ends, hair fall, and ugh……. a total hair problem 101!

• Is this pack suppose to be used up at one time or can  one pack be used for multiple times?
• I usually use coconut oil at home myself but is this worth to try?
• Is it really thick or easy to work into your hair?
• Do you have to wet your hair before use?
• Is it worth trying?

Lets first look at the Key Ingredients :

How it looks / feels / smells ? 

It is a cream formula, thick, white and it has a strong but great coconut smell. And this deep conditioner quenches dry hair without making it oily and the smell of the coconut is incredible.

My experience with the product !

When I opened the pack, I was first surprised to how much product was inside. And if you have short or mid length hair like me, you will get two uses out of it. 

As I mentioned, its a thick white creamy formula containing coconut oil , Tahitian Manoi oil , Sweet Almond oil. And free from harmful agents like parabens , phthalates , Mineral oil , Gluten , sulfates and dyes. 

The natural ingredients gives the pleasant and relaxing scent and I feel they give you the pampering for your hair.

Methods of testing ? Round 1 : As an overnight mask : I left it on overnight applying to my hair and covered with a shower cap and had a good sleep. After I shampooed my hair, my hair felt incredible and soft ! I loved how my hair smelled, so fresh and had a healthy shine.

Round 2 : As an protein pack for 20 minutes  : I applied it after shampooing my hair, and waited for a good 20 minute, and washed again. BAM ! my hair was so alive & bouncy. My hair looked so healthy and shiny to my fried locks before I had !

Overall Verdict : I love the smell of this product, its a true buttery coconut smell. It gave my hair an incredible shine & a healthy look ! My hair ends were no longer dry like before. And the best is the product is free of nasty chemicals  and is great for your dry hair giving a quick hydrating boost. 

The product is inexpensive and is available at hypermarkets. I am sure of stocking them up, and I feel that its good to use when my hair needs a pick me up !

Most of us yet do not have the time, to spend lost in the beautiful world of Sephora Middle East. So, to all my sephora junkies, here’s a list of products that are rated as best buys or frequently purchased or even repurchased products. 

Sounds interesting right ! Hold on, another exciting news, these are not from Multi brands, they are only from our very own House brand “SEPHORA “. I personally love the brand very much. So, here I have created my very own best buy, from Sephora shopping guide.  Lets Dive in !!!

A chic Treat ! with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Foot Magic

Hi guys, hope you are all doing well ! As you read the heading, I have been a big fan of Palmer’s cocoa butter , especially claiming to be a Tummy Butter Mama. Right from my teens, I was quite intrigued by this brand, and I started using the tummy butter during my pregnancy time, I was completely dissolved into their mild soothing fragrance. 

As  you all know, now its the summer, and your skin is ever thirsty ! Especially, if you have dry feet like me, then you have to keep applying the cream every now and then to avoid getting dry and making them hydrated!

I like lotions and potions, but I was not disciplined enough to go through the moisturize and wear cotton socks routine every night, but after I got this Foot Magic , I started the routine and have been sticking to it for quite some days. Let me start my review by introducing the product.

LET’S HAVE A LOOK AT THE INGREDIENTS :

Ointment kind of Texture

MY TAKE ON THIS PRODUCT :

This is a foot cream which claims to transform dry, rough and calloused feet. Now don’t worry I’m not going to show you them but my feet aren’t in the best condition. I’ve been thinking to get a pedicure for ages but haven’t gotten around to it so I was delighted to use  this cream as my feet badly need it for this dry summers.

Because it’s a Palmer’s Cocoa Butter product I immediately expected it to have that chocolate smell but when I opened it I just got the smell of a  refreshing peppermint. The product contains Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E, Mango Butter and Peppermint Oil. I also expected this to have a creamy consistency but it’s more of an thick ointment texture which I really like. I’ve used this before bed for a few days now and I can definitely notice my feet are softer. The peppermint also gives a lovely cooling tingle to the feet which is great for summer.

MY FINAL VERDICT : Even with just four   days of use, I saw an improvement and  my feet have become well moisturized and the dry patches have disappeared. The best thing about this balm is that you can forget to use it or skip using it on alternate days, but the effect does not wear off. This is what suits me very well. My feet have become softer and smoother.

Bake , Brighten , and Set with GOSH Banana Powder!

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing fine! Today’s blog post will be quite interesting, yes  “Bake, Brighten & Set” with Gosh cosmetics Banana Powder.

Without further due, lets jump straight into the review.

WHAT IS IT ? Gosh , Prime ‘N’ Set Powder. ( Follow @gosharabia ) to keep updated!

This powder is a 2 in 1. It can be used as a primer and as well as a setting powder. The silky translucent loose yellow powder creates a flawless , matte finish and an airbrushed look. Suits almost anyone with a warmer skin tone.

It also reduces redness and pink undertones, covers the dark circles well , minimizes pores and fine lines and control the shine. 

PACKAGING : The powder comes in a simple, plastic container. The sifter holes at the top help in easy dispensing of the product.

DO YOU REALLY NEED A BANANA POWDER ?

It’s no secret that I have an oily skin , combination skin would be better. I have never been picky about what setting powder I use. But I definitely need a setting powder, as my makeup will stay on my face for some time at least. I have been trying few brands recently, but the verdict is , it’s a total game changer with GOSH.

HERE’S WHY ?

A little goes a long way. This powder is super fine–even the slightest bit gives me full-face coverage. Its a  relatively small container  and even if I use it every day I don’t think, I’ll have to repurchase for at least a year. 

Dual Purpose . It can also be used as a primer on a moisturized face, to have your complete look bright ! It can also be used just  as a powder , on a bare face to gives a subtle bright look. 

It’s a great for highlighting and contouring . Sometimes I feel like highlighting can look a little stark under the eyes; this powder brightens in a more natural way. It really evens out a look when layered over creamy concealer.

It gives my face a warm, matte finish.One thing I’ve noticed about other setting powders is that they can leave me looking flat. I like a good matte finish to my face, but I don’t like to look too chalky or dry. I feel like the slight warmth of the yellow in this banana powder makes the finish of my foundation look more natural.

It keeps my makeup locked ! Keeping my makeup in place all day is super important to me. My favorite thing about this powder is that it really does lock my makeup in place, maintaining that freshly applied look throughout the day. I only have to blot once or twice a day on my T-zone when I’m wearing it.

The secret to stay shine-free all day is by using a setting powder.
TIP: Try a powder puff instead of a face brush to prevent the powder from getting everywhere and to help eliminate any shine or redness.

OTHER BRANDS BANANA POWDERS :There are lot many brands in the market which sell banana powder. One such brand that hyped throughout the market is Ben Nye , and some other brands like Morphe, MakeUpForEver Pressed setting powder in Banana, Sephora Bright Set banana powder, and much more. 

I have personally used all these powders, but this one is a game changer . If you want to experience why, try the product and see it yourself, you will end up in saying the same statement like me ! 

AFFORDABILITY : It is highly affordable, and retails for AED 85/- at Gosh Cosmetics, Lifestyle Gulf , center point. 

The only downside to this powder is it’s a bit messy. But I find that to be true of pretty much every loose powder. With this container, the powder almost always collects on top of the sifter, so I have to be  careful when opening and closing the lid.
