Today I thought I would do a product review! The Palmer’s coconut oil formula deep conditioning protein pack & Olive Oil deep conditioning pack (quite the mouthful).
About Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Protein Pack:
Range: Palmer’s Coconut oil Formula, for Dry , Damaged or Color Treated Hair.
Benefits: Formulated with Pure Coconut Milk, Coconut Oil and Vitamin E to restore and replenish hair that is in need of more than just your daily conditioner. Perfect for over processed and damaged hair. Convenient travel size.
Texture and formula : I’ve dipped into it a few times and have been quite impressed with it. It doesn’t weigh down my baby fine, tangle-prone colour treated hair in the least but leaves it easy to brush while wet and looking healthy and sleek while dry. I also adore it’s subtle and beachy coconut scent that smells just like the yummy coconut ice cream .
Why do I love it ?
If you like deep conditioning like me, I would say go for packs with simpler details, I have tried many and I find the more fancy they are, the more chemicals they have. A simple coconut formula would do wonders for you rather than the fancy Moroccan oils. I trust the Indian sensibility of its love for coconut oils and try sticking to that for pro-longed benefits. It keeps my hair healthy and strong. I am facing a terrible hair fall, maybe due to weather change, and my thyroid disorders and I always catch myself collecting my hair from everywhere and it is kind of depressing. I decided to opt for some deep conditioning to keep my hair stronger and nourished.
Over all, the product has a nice coconut fragrance, nothing over powering and it does not make my hair scalp oily. Although expect oiliness to crop up after a day, as it is a deep conditioning pack.
PALMER’S OLIVE OIL FORMULA DEEP CONDITIONER
Range: Palmer’s Olive oil Formula , for Frizz -Prone Hair.
Benefits : Formulated with Jamaican Black Castor Oil , Vitamin E which helps relieve dry itchy scalp while protecting hair from styling damage. Convenient travel size.
Texture and Formula : This deep conditioner has a rich and creamy texture with medium consistency. The consistency makes it easy to spread among each hair strand. It has pale pistachio color and a mild fragrance to it. The fragrance is subtle and does not irritate the nose. It kind of lingers around after using the conditioner.
Why do I love it ?
To use, I take an appropriate amount to cover my hair with the conditioner. The quantity to use will also depend on how frizzy your hair is. I apply it all over my hair, starting from mid-length to the ends, concentrating on the ends. Then, I use a wide-toothed comb ( Palmer’s wide tooth hair comb ) to distribute the product evenly. The product gets distributed evenly without any difficulty.
Post rinsing, it makes hair super smooth and soft. There is no roughness that can be felt after rinsing the deep conditioner. After washing my hair, I let it air dry. The application of this conditioner makes the detangling process easier as there are minimal knots. It keeps the dry ends hydrated and moisturized, preventing further damage.
It also helps in controlling the frizz to an extent and makes hair more manageable. As it makes hair smooth and manageable, the styling also becomes easier.
The Palmer’s wide tooth comb or a small size hair massage comb is great during applying the hair pack , as you can comb your hair without leading to knots, and a great way of stimulating the hair follicles provides a good blood circulation to your scalp, thereby making the hair mask session completely worth while.
And now, for the Extra Details :
- These are 60g packets and I definitely suggest using only half of the packet. I used a whole one first up and found it was just way too much.
I didn’t find it weighed down my hair at all or left it greasy and the smell lasts for AGES in your hair which I really loved.
- These are available at selected @BootsMiddle East , @Carrefour UAE and few other leading hypermarkets and super markets.
- The price of these are AED 12 for a 60g packet.
- And I definitely recommend these products for my friends and family.
Overall, it is a good buy for dry / damaged / color treated and frizzy hair. I like the results after using this deep conditioner. It makes hair softer, smoother and more manageable while controlling frizz up to an extent. It also leads to less hair breakage. However, to achieve the best results, a generous amount is needed based on how dry your hair is.
It’s not going to bring seriously damaged hair back from the dead, but if you’re looking for a cheap as chips hydrating hair mask that likes to travel, know that this guy’s a goodie.
Let me know in the comments what your favorite hair mask is.
